★ an ode to maternity ★
★ a return to hospitality ★
★ a reason to celebrate ★
FHAM is more than a name—it’s layered with meaning: fam means “mouth” in Arabic, faim means “hungry” in French, and femme means “woman” in French. Together, they reflect a simple truth: in Arab culture, food is a mother’s love language—and hospitality is in our DNA.
Premier Events
Hosting is our specialty and we love to showcase it with a yearly extravagant (but affordable!!) event that feels like you’re stepping in a portal to the East. From the taste to the talent, the entertainment and the music, our premier events have everything for the whole family to enjoy. We launched Arabian Nights Festival in 2025, aiming to sell at least 500 tickets, but we quickly realized this kind of experience was needed for the community, as over 900 total tickets were sold! This year, we are hosting Arabian Nights Festival 2026 on August 29th, bigger and better with all the knowledge we gained last year on how this community likes to party!
Community Events
We host a variety of events from non-profit to exclusive private events to community festivals, cultural tours and skill-building workshops. Our goal at FHAM LLC is to make celebrating, having fun, and elevating culture accessible and normalized in our communities. In the East, our families celebrate for every reason and we want to bring that authenticity to the diaspora and our neighbors here in the West. No gatekeeping or comparisons, just humans having a good time!
Collaborations
We are always seeking partners, so long as collaborators and sponsors are able to meet our moral code, we believe building a strong network of entrepreneurs and community builders is key to keeping our neighborhoods healthy, our lives well-rounded, and our cultures alive.
Thank you to our current collaborators:

Farah Jawad-Makki
Meet Farah Jawad-Makki — Founder of FHAM LLC and the vision behind everything that FHAM does.
Farah is a proud Arab American, a longtime healthcare professional, educator, and storyteller with a deep love for culture, food, and community. After nearly two decades serving patients and mentoring future clinicians at the University of Michigan, she felt called to build something that celebrated identity, connection, and joy on a broader scale.
Born from this spirit was the Arabian Nights Festival, the premier event that launched FHAM and proved it was everything Farah had been called to do. It’s a gathering rooted in cultural pride, artistic expression, and the power of sharing stories, flavors, and traditions. Through this event, Farah hopes to invite others into the richness of Arab culture—not as spectators, but as honored guests.
The Future of Fham
FHAM isn’t just an event company. FHAM encompasses a broader vision Farah has for the future of women in the west. Through her experiences in the medical field, as a mother, as an immigrant, and as a woman, Farah has learned
